ABOUT SNACK

Please provide snack for 25 children using the following as your guidelines:

1) Please bring pre-packaged, individual-sized healthy snacks for each child. Some examples would be: bags of pretzels, trail mix, goldfish, string cheeses, etc. You are welcome to pre-package the snacks yourself, at home, instead of buying the more expensive store packaged items. Fruit, pre-cut and put in baggies will work great too. We ask that all snacks be ready to serve when you arrive at shule, to eliminate any set-up time needed.

2) Please bring individual water bottles for each child. We are hoping these changes will make cleaning up much easier and enable snack time to be finished within the scheduled 15 minutes.

3) Please bring 1 large plastic bag to collect the empty plastic water bottles for recycling.

PARENTS' ROOM REMINDERS

1) For parents who are staying at shule during classes - please keep your conversations inside the parent's room, or go outside the building or downstairs to talk. The teachers have reported that having parents congregate in the hallway has been very disturbing to their classes.

2) Please remember to clean-up after yourselves and your younger children, by throwing away all plates, cups, etc. that you have used.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation.

ABOUT PARENT ON DUTY:

The teachers have requested that each week we have a parent-on-duty and the responsibilities will be the following:

a. Arrive early (by 9:20 a.m.) - get schedule of classes for the day.
b. Direct students to their appropriate classrooms (which may vary weekly).
c. Give teachers "5 minute warnings" prior to the end of each class session. There are 3 sessions throughout the morning.
d. Monitor hallways during classes in case students/teachers need any help. Ensure that children return to their classrooms after snack or going to the bathroom.
e. Help snack family with preparing and cleaning up the students' snacks.
f. Last person to leave that day, making sure all students have been picked up. If any items are left behind by students/teachers, leave them inside our cabinet.
g. Make sure all rooms have been left as we found them.

We are asking each family to sign-up to be snack family two times during the year.
